Two ways to take donations on a non-profit’s own website. Most sites want the first one.
The embed — start here
Two lines of HTML. Hopely renders the form, handles proof-of-payment uploads, bot protection and Section 18A details. Nothing to build and nothing to maintain.
The JSON API
For sites that want their own form, or a live campaign progress bar in their own design. More work, and it needs a setup step from Hopely before donations can be submitted.
Before either one works
The organisation’s Hopely administrator must switch on Settings → Website integrationand add your site’s address to the allowed list. Until they do, the form will not appear and the API will refuse you. That is the single most common reason either of these appears broken.
